Astrology is a topic that has taken over the media in recent years, pushing people to acknowledge their “Big Three”—being their sun, moon, and rising sign—and analyzing what that means in terms of their personality, presence, and interactions with others. Everyone has different perceptions of what each sign means and whether they’re “good” or “bad.” However, every sign is unique and has its own bright, positive qualities. No zodiac sign slander is tolerated here, just a quick overlook on what your sign is, and what it may mean for you and your identity throughout life.
Note: These are all overarching themes and characteristics. Not everyone will identify with their sun sign completely, which is why it’s important to look at your whole chart rather than just the one placement.
Aries (March 21st - April 19th)

The baby of the zodiac, Aries is the cardinal fire sign, symbolized by the ram. They are known to be passionate, ambitious, and honest. They’re known as fighters as opposed to lovers, and priotize winning and being right. As an Aries myself, we are often misunderstood. This fire and aggression doesn’t always have to be physical, but can manifest as emotional and mental dedication, drive, and power. Our flame always burns bright.
Taurus (April 20th - May 20th)

Taurus is the fixed earth sign, symbolized by the bull. They are believed to be grounded, stubborn, and indulgent. They are known for their calm presence and connection to relaxation and pleasure. They are people who take everything one day at a time. Taurus’ are often those who you seek a stable force in if you need to come down from the clouds for a moment or need to have some sense talked into you. They are known for being great friends due to their calming and caring nature.

They are often soft, gentle souls whose empathy runs deep and sensitivity rules their being. Cancers have a habit of holding space for everyone, providing love to all who ask for it. They can occasionally be known to be moody or insecure, however, this is often because of their contant flow of emotions and vulnerabilities—always guided by their heart.
Leo (July 23rd - August 22nd)

Leo, the fixed fire sign, is represented by the lion. They are most well-known for their confidence, secureness in self-identity, and bold personality. They are often portrayed as arrogant, dramatic, and self-centered, however, this is all because they know who they are and what they deserve in this world. They are fiercely loyal once you’ve gained their trust, making them a great companion. They will always be under the spotlight and soak up any and all praise and attention.
Virgo (August 23rd - September 22nd)

The mutable earth sign, Virgo, is symbolized by the maiden. These people are known for being logical, hardworking, and detail-oriented. They approach life practically and methodically, often offering solutions to every problem that arises. They tend to be put down for their overcriticism, analytical approaches, and need to put reason over emotions. However, these people are deeply grounded and stable. They are the person to approach when you need strategy and problem-solving.
Libra (September 23rd - October 22nd)

Libra, the cardinal air sign, is symbolized by a set of scales. They are known for their peaceful approach to life, their fair nature, and desire for justice and common ground. They are social and diplomatic, the care-givers and mediators of the world. These people are often afraid of any type of confrontation and will take great measures to avoid conflict—peace being put above everything else. They are the zodiac sign of harmony, therefore always gentle, gracious, and open minded.
Scorpio (October 23rd - November 21st)

Another zodiac sign that has a bad reputation, the fixed water sign, Scorpio, represented by the scorpian. These people are natural leaders—powerful, resourceful, and passionate. They are often seen as jealous, distrustful, and manipulative, but they are just individuals who hold their cards close and value close bonds with few as opposed to distant bonds with many. Their assertive nature and determination make them unconditionally loyal to people they share any type of relationship with.
Sagittarius (November 22nd - December 21st)

The mutable fire sign, Sagittarius, is symbolized by the archer. They are known for their warm energy, curiosity, and generosity. They often view the world with rose-tinted glasses. While often put in a position where their creative ideas and goals are unattainable, they are wildly optimistic and continue to be enthusiastic about what the world has to offer. These are idea people who are great to have around when in a creative rut.

Capricorn, the cardinal earth sign, is symbolized by the goat. These are individuals who have a strong sense of self-control, are responsible, and are realists. They are often serious by nature and are career or goal driven. They can be condescending, unforgiving, and know-it-alls, but they are independent souls who desire success over anything else. They have their life planned, and will stop at nothing until they check every box, making them resourceful, driven, and quick-learners.
Aquarius (January 20th - February 18th)

The fixed air sign, Aquarius, in represented by the water bearer. These people pride themselves for their originality, creativity, and progressiveness. They’re deep thinkers and are known for their eccentric personalities. However, they’re also known for their inability to express emotions, their aloofness, and their tempermental demeanors. They can be closed-off and difficult to get close to, but once you’re in their life, you’ll see their playfulness, spontaneousness, and high energy.
Pisces (February 19th - March 20th)

Lastly, the mutable water sign, Pisces, is symbolized by the fish. They are known for their intuitiveness, gentle demeanor, and compassionate nature. They are selfless individuals who are always putting others first and finding ways to make everyone feel safe and comfortable. However, with this comes the downsides of being overly trusting, easily hurt, and fearfull. These people have a valuable softness that creates strong, emotional bonds with everyone who gives them love.
